Gerardo W. Flintsch

Gerardo Flintsch is a professor with the Via Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech, where he directs the Center for Sustainable Transportation Infrastructure of the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute. Gerardo specializes in pavement engineering and transportation asset management, and has led many research projects, directed multidisciplinary research, development and implementations projects in the United States and overseas, and organized several national and international conferences. Gerardo currently chairs the TRB committee on General and Emerging Pavement Design and the World Road Association (PIARC) committee on Asset Management, and serves as vice-president of FM Consultants.
